The Vice President of Business Development is a crucial leadership position in Xodiac. As the Vice President of Business Development, your primary responsibility is establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will also be in charge of identifying and creating a pipeline of opportunities and acquiring new business within Canada, the US and the global market. Specifically, you will focus on growing Xodiac's services in business transformation consultancy, executive coaching, and leadership development.

This position ensures we engage the right clients in a meaningful way and are competitive in the marketplace. The VP is instrumental in managing and building the right capabilities and focus for the business to convert prospects into revenue.

Key functions

  • New Business Development

    • Hunter mentality – embrace a proactive and strategic approach to identify and pursue high-potential clients, focusing on driving revenue growth.

    • Seek out new business opportunities and convert them into lucrative, long-term partnerships.

    • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to penetrate new markets and industries.

    • Raise Xodiac’s profile through enhanced industry presence.

  • Strategic Prospecting

    • Develop and execute targeted prospecting strategies to uncover new revenue streams and capitalize on untapped market segments.

    • Leverage market intelligence and analytics to identify and prioritize high-value prospects.

  • Deal Closure Expertise

    • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact through negotiation to contract closure, ensuring swift and successful deal execution.

    • Utilize a consultative sales approach, positioning our services as essential solutions for client success and revenue enhancement.

  • Pipeline Acceleration

    • Build and manage robust sales pipeline, consistently identifying and pursuing new prospects to ensure revenue target s are met and exceeded.

    • Track and report on the progress of opportunities through the sales cycles.

  • Revenue Optimization

    • Drive end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to launch, ensuring a steady influx of new business revenue.

Candidate specification

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience

  • 5+ years of experience successfully developing client relationships, account management, identifying pursuits, and winning projects.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in  business, or related field.

  • Demonstrated track record of winning within the business transformation consultancy.

  • Strong relationships with key contacts with private organizations, provincial and municipal agencies and the ability to leverage those relationship into a robust sales pipeline.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Proven leader in strategic planning, strategic teaming, proposal strategy and negotiations.

  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management tools.

  • Goal oriented with desire to successfully pursue and win work.
